Unlike larger companies locked into single product lines, we're free to choose equipment from any manufacturer that genuinely suits your site and budget. No sales quotas, no pressure to push particular brands—just honest advice based on what actually works for you.

Small Team, Personal Service

You'll work directly with Terry, our owner—not account managers or call centres. Every project gets his personal attention from first meeting through to completion. Decisions are made quickly, questions answered directly, and there's never any corporate bureaucracy to navigate.

Local Knowledge, Fast Response

We've worked across the South West for over 30 years—we know the councils, the schools, the sites, and the challenges. Being locally based means we're typically 1-2 hours away when you need us, not managing your project from a regional office elsewhere in the country.

We're not driven by corporate profit targets or quarterly sales goals. We choose galvanised steel over cheaper alternatives, hard-wearing safety surfaces with proper stone bases and drainage, and durable timber with genuine warranties. We don't just focus on the brand new 'wow'—we build foundations that last, considering ground conditions, movement, and long-term performance.

Founded by Terry and Kim, TK Play was born from hands-on experience in construction and the play industry.

After years working across the South West, Terry observed a recurring problem: customers were often pushed toward the wrong materials or unnecessary replacements—not because it was the right solution, but because it boosted margins.

TK Play was created as a different kind of family-run company

One focused on honest advice, durable materials, and play spaces that genuinely serve their communities. We maintain complete control over quality, scheduling, and safety on every project.

Today, we work with councils, schools, estate management companies, and landscape architects across the Southwest, providing practical expertise and long-term support. We've delivered over 100 public playgrounds for local authorities, schools, and developers—building ongoing relationships across the region. As an approved contractor for Devon County Council and SLOAC-accredited, we meet the rigorous standards required for public sector projects.

We've recently expanded our workshop and manufacturing facility in North Devon, where we're developing our own bespoke product range. Combined with our secure storage facilities, this investment enhances our ability to deliver tailored, durable solutions under full quality control.

We love visiting our sites years later to see them still full of happy, cheerful children.
